Rupert Belsham is a senior patent attorney based in our Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire office, with over ten years’ experience advising clients on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

He has substantial experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on engineering, consumer products and electromechanical technologies. Rupert has acted for a number of multinational and FTSE 100 companies, managing large international patent portfolios and coordinating prosecution strategy across key jurisdictions including the United States, Japan, Korea and Europe.

His practice includes patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate and validity advice, and contentious intellectual property matters. Rupert has a particular interest in advocacy and dispute resolution, and is currently completing the Bar Practice Course.
