We are delighted to invite you to Meissner Bolte’s IP Days Seminar in Munich, which will begin at lunchtime on Wednesday, September 23rd and will run through to our Oktoberfest farewell "hurrah" on September 24th. The IP Days will be held in person.
We shall also be providing access to the sessions after the seminar for all those who will not be able to attend in Munich. If you would like to receive the session recordings, please click REGISTER, proceed to sign up, and choose to receive a link to watch the session recordings after the seminar.
Day one of this year’s seminar showcases key aspects of European Patent protection: navigating your way through the maze of national, bundle, and unitary patents whilst highlighting the continued strategic importance of national patent protection and litigation. Attendees will also gain fresh insights into pharmaceutical trademark strategy, whilst hearing the latest developments under the EU Biotech Act.
On day two our programme spotlights why startup IP deals often fail – providing you with insights on what to do and what to avoid! We shall also cover how unfair competition law can be used to strengthen design protection in Germany: a very valuable and underused IP right.
In the field of patent protection, we shall be reminded that, often contrary to expectations, software can be protected by patents. This leads us neatly into consideration of the global rise of SEP litigation and the UPC’s fast-growing role as a central arena for such disputes, alongside a dedicated panel discussion on long-arm jurisdiction in Europe, will help to explain why the new Unified Patent Court is so busy! For those less keen on simply “meeting in court”, we will hear some insights into what options exist for arbitration of Patent Licensing Disputes.
We look forward to welcoming you with a “Servus” to the capital city of Bavaria, to enjoy our programme filled with thought-provoking content, practical takeaways, as well as the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues at our get-together and Oktoberfest evening.
For the Oktoberfest evening, we have once again reserved, on September 24th, 2026, a sufficient number of seats in one of the most renowned beer tents: THE HAXNBRATEREI.
We recommend booking early, as registrations will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
We kindly inform you that we will review all registrations and will follow up with a final confirmation in due course.
